About Serve It Safely® . 

Back in 2000, Serve It Safely began sharing over 30 years of practical knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry through provision of Quality Assurance Audits and ServSafe Classes.   Locally owned by a Nationally Registered and Pennsylvania Licensed Dietitian, Patti Figorski, the Serve It Safely® team provides support to clients in Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and the surrounding areas.

ServSafe Classes- with a Certified Instructor and Proctor

Participants will learn how safe food handling and behaviors, including handling food allergens, is a crucial element in your establishment's continued success.  Our food service classes are streamlined to provide  the relevant information your staff needs to be successful, without overwhelming them. Our goal is successful certification while discovering a refreshed excitement to practice safe food service and the accompanying behaviors to model with your staff.   A variety of time and temperature forms are available to take back, if needed.  

Food safety certification classes are scheduled to accommodate your needs, offering a wide variety of food safety course selections.  Students can also join us in a Serve It Safely Classroom, conveniently located in Monteverde's in Pittsburgh

If you're having a difficult time scheduling?  no problem, how about hosting a group  class in your facility!  Host as a 'brand only' class or advertise in the area and bring in managers from other restaurants.  That's right, we'll come to you!   Send us a couple of desired dates and times.  We do weekend classes as well.    The choice is always yours! 

After completion of the food manager's course, students are eligible and proctored for  the ServSafe test sponsored by The National Restaurant Association, the most widely recognized food safety certification in the nation.

The Serve-It-Safely® Quality Assurance Audit

This specially designed audit conducted by a local food service pro, cuts out the middle man and high cost of national companies while providing the SAME knowledgeable service and support.  Based on the most up to date Federal Food Code and your state and local regulations, our specialist will conduct an in-house visit, lasting approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours.  During that time, your management accompanies the auditor and is able to ask unlimited questions while receiving direct feedback and coaching about areas of opportunity.
