Making Lifestyle Changes
  • First, you must decide that you truly WANT to make changes
  • Also, zero in on the ever important 'why' do I want to make changes (better health, longer life, lose weight, maintain weight, lower cholesterol, etc)
  • Take baby steps.  Unrealistic goals will only frustrate your progress.
  • Be sure your goals are realistic as only this can set you up for success
  • Know that you may stray at times, but as long as you get yourself back to the plan, you're ok
  • Having a support system can be so important.  it's ok to tell a trusted friend of your plan and ask for their support
  • Write out your goals, including the reason you want to make your nutrition lifestyle changes.  Read it every week as a reminder
  • Always have a back up plan.  Review your goals and modify them as needed.
